RANGE SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE PROPOSALS

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, MAY 24, 2000 … RANGE RESOURCES CORPORATION (NYSE: RRC) announced today that it had received approval on all five proposals put before its shareholders at the Company’s Annual Meeting. The proposals included increasing the number of authorized common shares to 100 million, increasing the number of shares available under the stock purchase plan, amending the outside directors’ option plan and re-electing the directors.
