Range Resources was recently included in Investor’s Business Daily’s (IBD) fourth annual list of 100 Best ESG Companies for 2022.
Range’s inclusion in the top 100 comes as an honor amongst over 6,000 other companies eligible worldwide. Investor’s Business Daily used several technical and fundamental stock analysis metrics to narrow down the list of companies, including Dow Jones ESG scores.
As the only Appalachian natural gas producer to make the list, this designation serves as a direct reflection of Range’s financial performance and dedication to broader environmental, social, and governance efforts outlined in this year’s Corporate Sustainability Report.
Range has reported record quarterly financial results in 2022 and RRC stock is up nearly 60% year-to-date, compared to the S&P 500, which is down approximately 20% over the same time frame. Range’s financial position is the best in Company history and its commitment to sustainability is further evidenced in the progress being made towards our emissions goal of net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 2025. Range has already realized significant milestones on that front as well, achieving a 75% methane emissions intensity reduction since 2018, over 100% of produced water through our water sharing program, and investing $514,000 into our local communities.
The IBD honor follow’s another significant recognition earlier this year from Newsweek Magazine as Range was named to the list of 2022 America’s Most Responsible Companies.
Range’s COO, Dennis Degner, praises the Range team for their efforts and innovation in earning these distinctions.
“This recognition is directly tied to the buy-in and commitment by our employees. They have found innovative solutions, but also worked really hard in the field to see those processes through,” Degner said.
